Guide
TradeSeeder user guide
TradeSeeder turns a signal you have chosen to take into a set of MetaTrader 5 orders: a laddered entry across the zone, a separate order for each target, one stop on all of them, and the lot size worked out from the risk you set once. You decide which signal to take; it does the arithmetic and the clicking.
Installing
- Download TradeSeeder.ex5 from your account page.
- In MetaTrader open File > Open Data Folder, then put the file in MQL5 > Experts.
- Restart MetaTrader. TradeSeeder appears in the Navigator under Expert Advisors.
- Drag it onto a chart of the symbol you trade — XAUUSD for gold signals. Use one chart per symbol.
Split take-profits need a hedging account. On a netting account MetaTrader merges the parts into one position and only the last target survives, so TradeSeeder checks and refuses rather than placing something that cannot work.
Two permissions to grant, once
Both live in the same place: Tools > Options > Expert Advisors. They are per installation, so repeat them on a VPS or a second computer.
| Setting | Why |
|---|---|
| Allow WebRequest for listed URL — add the site address | Required. TradeSeeder checks your licence here. Without it the EA will not start. |
| Allow DLL imports | Optional but recommended. It lets the PASTE button read your clipboard, which is the difference between one click and typing the levels by hand. |
Then paste your licence key into the Licence key field in the EA settings. The first terminal that connects claims the licence automatically — there is no account number to type in.
You only ever do that once. TradeSeeder writes the key into MetaTrader's shared data folder the moment it is accepted, so every other chart and every other terminal on that machine finds it on its own. Leave the field empty and it will be filled in for you. On a VPS or a second computer you paste it once more.
The licence then belongs to that trading account and stays with it, which is what keeps one licence from being passed around. If your broker closes the account, or you move from demo to live, email support and we will move it across.
Settings you set once
Open the EA properties and set these before your first trade. You should not need to touch them again — everything about an individual signal goes on the panel, not here.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Risk mode and Risk per signal | Percent of balance (default 2%), a fixed amount of money, or a fixed lot size. This is what the lot size is calculated from. |
| Entries spread across the zone | How many orders to ladder into the entry zone. Three is a sensible default and fifty is the maximum, for providers who post very wide zones. TradeSeeder thins the ladder on its own when the zone is too narrow to separate that many entries by more than the spread — orders closer than that are the same fill twice, and only add commission. |
| How to enter the zone | Take the first part now and ladder the rest (default — matches a signal that says "buy now"), or wait for the zone so every order is pending. |
| Hard cap on total orders per signal | Entries multiplied by targets can run into the hundreds. This keeps the total sane (100 by default); TradeSeeder trims entries first if a signal would exceed it. |
| Auto-reduce order count to respect risk | Leave this on. If the signal cannot fit your risk, TradeSeeder drops targets and then entries until it does, instead of over-risking the account. |
| Move SL to break-even after TP1 | When the first target pays, the stop moves to entry on everything still open. |
| Cancel unfilled entries after TP1 | Once the trade is working, the orders that never filled are removed. |
| Panel size and Text size | Only needed if the panel looks wrong on your screen. Panel size 0 reads your display automatically; raise Text size if the text looks too small. |
Taking a signal
- Copy the whole signal in Telegram — press and hold the message, then Copy. All the lines at once.
- Click PASTE SIGNAL on the panel. Direction, entry zone, stop and every target fill in together.
- Read the two lines under CHECK AND SEND: how many orders will go out, and what they risk in your account currency.
- Click EXECUTE.
A signal like "Gold buy now 4443-4440 / SL 4434 / TP1 4445 TP2 4447 TP3 4449 / TP4 open" becomes a BUY at market, a BUY limit at 4440, a stop at 4434 on both, and four parts closing at 4445, 4447, 4449 and the last one left running.
Prices go in exactly as the signal writes them. There is nothing to convert into points and no lot size to work out. Up to ten targets are supported, numbered ("TP1 4289") or not ("TP: 4289"), and "open" or "runner" on the last one means that part runs with no take-profit.
If PASTE is greyed out, DLL imports are off (see above). You can still type the levels into the three fields, or paste the signal one line at a time into the box under the button — the panel fills up as you go. The clear button empties it, and pasting a new signal that names a direction clears the old one for you.
What happens after you execute
| Event | What TradeSeeder does |
|---|---|
| First target pays | Moves the stop to entry on everything still open and cancels the entries that never filled. |
| Second target pays | Moves the stop up to the first target, locking that much in. |
| You want out early | Close all closes every TradeSeeder position on this symbol. |
| You want the stop moved now | BE now moves every open stop to its entry price. |
| Price never reached the zone | Cancel removes the pending orders and leaves open positions alone. |
This runs whether or not you are watching, and it survives restarting MetaTrader. It only ever tightens a stop, never loosens one.
When it refuses to trade
TradeSeeder would rather do nothing than do something you did not mean. It stops and tells you when:
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Price is already past TP1 — this signal is spent | The move happened without you. There is nothing left to take; wait for the next signal. |
| all pending — price is above the zone | Not an error. Price has run past the entry, so nothing is taken at market and every order waits for a pullback. |
| Nothing was placed — the market is closed | Weekend or outside session hours. The levels stay on the panel; execute when the market reopens. |
| Smallest possible risk is … — blocked | Even one order at the broker minimum risks more than your limit. Raise the risk, or take this one manually. |
| Account balance is 0 | Fund the account, or switch Risk mode to fixed lots. |
| BUY: SL must be below the entry zone | The levels are the wrong way round — check the direction button. |
| TradeSeeder orders are already live | A previous signal is still running on this symbol. Close or cancel it first. |
| NETTING account | Split targets need a hedging account. |
| Licence key not recognised / Subscription ended | Check the key on your account page, or renew. |
| Add … to Tools > Options > Expert Advisors | The WebRequest permission above has not been granted. |
What it does not do
TradeSeeder does not read your Telegram channels, does not trade while you are away, and never opens a position you did not click EXECUTE for. It needs no VPS and no Telegram account. It is not a signal service and gives no advice about which trades to take.
